The Blu-ray Disc for high-definition films is predicated on the rise – but the classic DVD on their dominant position in the market of video disks. In the first half, sales of Blu-ray discs in Germany over the same period last year increased from two to five million units, such as the Association of Audiovisual Media (BVV) announced on Thursday in Hamburg.
